When a new bridge is established between two blockchains, SMC nodes synchronize with a new smart contract on the target chain. This particular contract is often referred to as INTDSwap.sol or similar and is responsible for “burning” tokens when assets are returned to their native chain. It is also an important responsibility for SMC nodes to monitor the Central Management Account. Each time a new asset is introduced, the corresponding smart contract on the target chain is activated.
